- What is KKT spinal care?
- What is the purpose of KKT spinal care? The sole purpose of the spinal correction is to restore the body's structural and neurological balance affected by disturbances from the spine and its associated contents. This restoration reactivates the transmission of healing messages from the brain to the affected part of the body and vice versa, so that the body's rhythms and natural healing processes can begin.
- Why should I learn about spinal care?Today, more than ever before, Dr. Khan and his team are discovering clear associations between the spine and its effect on our life and health.
Irreversible damage can occur within a relatively brief period of time when the spine is compromised, even prior to symptoms appearing. Publsihed research studies recommend proper spinal care and attention. - How long does the actual KKT treatment take?
- How long before I start to feel the benefits of the treatments?
- What does the KKT treatment feel like?
- What can I do to protect or stabilize my treatment? The patient is advised to exercise good posture habits and maintain healthy balanced positions. It is important to refrain from moving too quickly or sharply, lifting heavy objects or stretching and reaching abnormally. One should refrain from stressful situations especially in the first six weeks of care. Depending on the indivdiuial, specific recommendations will be given by the doctor.
- Is it appropriate to consider alternative treatment methods after having KKT treatments?
- Why is structural and neurological balance so crucial? When the weight of the head is shifted off centre, the body becomes imbalanced in order to compensate for the change. In an effort to keep the head centred over the neck, the spine and pelvis will twist, causing a shoulder and pelvic distortion as well as functional leg length shortening. Spinal disturbances can restrict or distort the transmission of messages to/from the brain so as to keep the body functioning properly. The long term effect of the being untreated is a degeneration of the body part serviced by these restricted messages, lowered resistance to illness, organ dysfunction, loss of mobility in limbs and degenerative arthritis of joints and soft tissue.
- What are radiographs before and after the correction necessary? No spinal correction can be made until careful and precise radiographs are taken and analyzed. The radiographs taken prior to the correction allow the KKT Physician to determine the direction in which the vertebrae have shifted, tilted or rotated from the normal position. The calculation formula in order to determine how restoration should occur is done from the Spinalytics software (proprietary system utilizing a digitization process which determines the customized treatment protocol). After the corrections, radiographs are necessary to determine the progress to date and identify whether further modifications may need to be done to allow future corrections.
- How do I know if treatment is required? The KKT Physician will do five specific diagnostic assessments to determine if your body requires treatment. These tests can be carried out in a short period of time at the centre. Even prior to symptoms, every person should have the opportunity of being tested comprehensively to ensure no unnecessary damage is incurred before treatment.
