Here are a few tips on creating your resume.
First impressions are the most powerful, so be sure to make your first impression the right one with a strong, well structured resume. Spend some time developing or updating your resume and customize the information to ensure that your relevant experience and qualifications are highlighted according to the position you are applying for.
Key components to your resume and application include:
- An overview of your employment history starting with your most recent job experience. Include the dates of employment (month and year), names of employers and the position(s) you held.
- Include a summary of your responsibilities for each position outlining your skills, qualifications and experience.
- List the accomplishments you have that will best demonstrate your expertise and potential performance for the applied position.
- An overview of your education, including certification, degrees and relevant courses.
- A cover letter.
